The Robens Chaser 1 Tent is designed to bring a quality performance design to tackle more extreme conditions such as hot, windy or winter weather. The Chaser features a flex-pitch system with inner ring suspension that allows a variety of pitching options of the flysheet and inner to match different weather conditions.
New to the Track range from Robens, the Chaser 1 is perfect for solo adventures where a variety of extreme weather conditions might be faced. The versatile FlexPitch system means the Chaser is prepared to provide comfort in hot, windy or winter extremes by offering different combinations of pitching the inner tent and flysheet, while also being able to provide full or part-sheltered bug-free sky views when nights are warm. The inner gear rope for drying out wet clothes and gear doubles as a tension system to keep the flysheet in shape when it is pitched on its own to further reduce weight. The Chaser also has ventilation systems in place to allow cool air to move freely, these include low vents, an apex door vent and a two-way zip, all to maximise comfort no matter the conditions.

Polyester is the most popular fabric for tent manufacturing, as it is durable, reliable and lighter in weight. Polyester does not breathe though, which creates more condensation. Polycotton – a blend of polyester and cotton, primarily cotton (usually around 65% cotton / 35% polyester split). Polycotton is a more natural fabric for camping, as it is breathable, far more durable material, reducing the effects of condensation. Offers greater versatility in hot and cold climates. | Hydrostatic Head (mm) | 2000 DetailsHydrostatic Head (Tents) – a waterproof rating for technical fabrics measured in mm. The higher the rating the more waterproof the fabric is. A rating of 1500mm is deemed waterproof, but on a tent, look for a rating of 3000 or higher. Measured by the height of water column a fabric weave can take before it begins to “sweat”. “Polycotton” tents will not have a Hydrostatic Head level, as they are not treated for waterproofing. |
